Databases, Systems, and Networks Associated Faculty
Research in databases, systems, and networks at the Department of Computer Science advances the infrastructure that underpins modern computing.
Our work spans the design and optimization of large-scale databases, efficient information retrieval, and intelligent decision-support systems, as well as distributed, real-time, and embedded systems. We also explore wireless and mobile networks, Internet of Things architectures, and cloud and edge computing platforms.
We address challenges of scalability, performance, energy efficiency, and reliability in complex environments by integrating data management with systems and networking research. This work ensures that information can be securely stored, rapidly accessed, and seamlessly transmitted across interconnected devices and platforms, enabling breakthroughs in business intelligence, scientific discovery, and global communication.

With a MS in Computer Science, you'll design scalable architectures, optimize data performance, and develop secure, high-performance infrastructures that power modern applications.
