Biography

Mingrui Liu is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at George Mason University. Before that, Liu was a postdoc at Rafik B. Hariri Institute at Boston University from 2020-2021, hosted by Francesco Orabona. He received his PhD in computer science from the University of Iowa in August 2020, under the advice of Tianbao Yang. He studied at the Institute of Natural Sciences and School of Mathematical Sciences at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He also worked at industrial research labs, such as IBM Research AI and Alibaba DAMO Academy.
