Knowledgeable advisors are here to provide you with the most relevant and complete information possible and to foster an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome.

Undergraduate Advising

We're here to help. Get to know your advisor by meeting regularly. 

If you have declared Computer Science as your major, you will have an assigned faculty advisor. This advisor will assist you with completing the CS 330 Advising Form.

For CS 110, send the completed CS 110 Advising Form at least two days before your scheduled appointment. Do not arrive at the appointment with your form in hand or on your laptop. 

Book an in-person or virtual session through our scheduling platform, Patriot Connect. Please visit the Undergraduate Advising Office at Buchanan Hall in room D215 for in-person advising.

The Computer Science department has five Undergraduate Academic Advisors on staff who are qualified to answer many student questions on both policy and procedure:

Due to changes in staff availability, the Undergraduate Academic Advisors are not accepting walk-ins. We offer both in-person and virtual advising options Monday – Friday that can be scheduled through Patriot Connect.

FERPA: Advising appointments are one-on-one meetings with an advisor. Other students, friends, or family are not permitted to participate in the meeting unless FERPA permission has been granted by the student and applied to their account prior to that day's meeting.

Graduate Advising

For your convenience, we offer virtual and in-person sessions by appointment. Book an in-person or virtual session through our graduate advising form. We are located in the Nguyen Engineering Building in room 4300 for in-person advising.

Walk-In Advising is available Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the CS office.
